Hi, I'm Laurent, a 31-year-old French photographer based in Paris. My photography journey began in 2010 with a smartphone, and in 2012, my passion took off when my dad gifted me my first DSLR. Since then, I've been on a constant pursuit of capturing the perfect light! 📸
At 24, I took a gap year to explore the world and found myself in Perth, halfway across the globe. During my six-month stay, I worked as a laborer, saved money, and embarked on a solo trip through Asia with my trusty camera.
Upon returning to France, a travel agency contacted me about using my Facebook-shared photos. This opportunity inspired me to transform my personal Instagram into a photography portfolio in 2015 after obtaining my M2 in Marketing.
While job hunting, I used my free time to study photography techniques. Instagram became a significant source of inspiration and allowed me to connect with other passionate photographers in Paris.
In January 2016, I landed a sales representative position for a cosmetics group in Rennes. This rewarding experience enabled me to visit Paris on weekends and continue honing my photography skills.
Life was a dream: a fulfilling job and a blossoming passion! As years went by, I was promoted to a digital communication manager role in Paris in 2019. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, the job didn't live up to its promises. In January 2022, I made one of the easiest (and probably the best) decisions of my life: I quit my job to pursue my passion for photography full-time.
